Chimney Cleaning
Arrange for Chimney Cleaning
with Atlas Glen-mor. Our affiliate
chimney sweeps are among the most
experienced and qualified personnel,
having served over 1 million
chimneys since 1978. It is important
for you to have periodic chimney
cleanings for oil-fired and
wood/coal/wood pellet burning flues.
It is safety maintenance that counts
at home.
Chimney Caps
Chimney caps are the best way to
keep out animals, debris, and
rainwater. This helps significantly
to maintain the integrity of your
flue liner and chimney. We install
both HY-C and Gelco caps — industry
leading products that keep you
covered.
Chimney Liners
Many chimney problems go
undetected or undiagnosed. That’s
why it’s important, not only to have
your chimney inspected annually, but
to ensure that you have the best
protection in your chimney. VENTINOX®
protects your chimney walls from
condensation and moisture problems,
helps prevent downdraft and blockage
issues you can find in deteriorated
chimneys. It helps protect you from
other dangers damaged chimneys
allow, such as carbon monoxides
leaks. If you are in need of chimney
liner, contact Atlas Glen-mor at your
earliest convenience.
Damper Repair and Installation
Dampers need to be sealed tightly
when not in use. A strong, tight
seal prevents the loss of valuable
heat from your home up through the
chimney and into the atmosphere. You
may find that drafty rooms may be
caused by an improperly sealed
damper.
Our affiliated technicians
can repair leaky dampers providing
all the parts of the existing damper
are present, and the damper is not
rusted, corroded or warped. If the
damper can not be repaired we may be
able to install a top sealing Lyemance damper on top of your
chimney — if there is a ceramic tile
flue liner inside the chimney
extending to the top of the chimney.
Usually homes built after 1930 will
have this liner.
We also recommend
the installation of a chimney cap
over a Lyemance damper to improve
performance during all weather
conditions. |
